Description
Playing on the words of Tim Mahr's name inspired the composer to write a rollicking "Ma(h)rch" alternating between 4/4 and 6/8 "Tim(e)." Embedded within the trio section are references to several of Tim's best-known works, including Fantasia in G; Endurance; The Soaring Hawk; Sol Solator; Hey!; Imagine If You Will and A Mighty March. Although written for a large wind ensemble, ample cues are provided for ensembles with more limited instrumentation. This is the perfect closer or encore for your next concert.
