"Magic Valley" is based on an original melody in the style of a hymntune, first presented simply, then developed over the course of the piece to a stirring, majestic climax. The hymntune and its treatment reflect the beautiful landscape, remarkable people and faith-inspiring creation of South Central Idaho.
