Inspired by the Great Lakes region, this cinematic work will be a highlight of your next performance! Beginning with gentle melodies, this work evokes the mood of a waterscape at dawn. It then picks up into a mixed-meter section before launching into a jaunty jig as the musicians sail across the lakes. The original theme returns in a powerful statement as the workday ends and our band is safe back in the harbor. Colorful orchestration, playful rhythms, and memorable memories combine to provide a challenging and rewarding work for your next concert or festival!
