Galway Bay Overture

Galway Bay Overture

By John O'ReillyConcert Band

Description

This sparkling work was written shortly after the composer's first visit to the beautiful west coast of Ireland. It is filled with an abundance of rhythmic vitality and energy as well as numerous meter changes and spirited melodies. A contrasting and expressive Adagio section provides a wonderful vehicle to explore a variety of instrumental colors. You'll enjoy conducting this masterful John O'Reilly composition as much as your students will enjoy performing it! (Grade 4---Medium)
