Ele(mental)

Ele(mental)

By Randall D. StandridgeConcert Band

Description

Explore the full range of human emotions in this creative new suite for young musicians by Randall Standridge! Serving as an introduction to the composer's "unBroken Project," a series of works about mental and emotional health, this piece correlates the classic elements with emotional states: Air (Joy), Earth (Anxiety/Fear), Water (Peace/Stillness), and Fire (Anger/Aggression). With each movement being a miniature work in itself, this piece offers directors the flexibility to either focus on one or two movements for a Grade .5 difficulty, or perform all four for a Grade 1 difficulty. This work is sure to provide opportunities for musical and personal growth as you prepare for your next festival or concert performance.
