Description
Bold and dramatic, El Toro Bravo by Randall Standridge is a Grade 2 concert march inspired by the style and spirit of the Paso Doble. Set in an unconventional 3/4 meter, the work maintains the forward drive and structure of a traditional march while introducing a fresh rhythmic perspective.
Strong melodic writing, vibrant harmonies, and a sense of intensity throughout evoke the power and presence of its namesake. Drawing on Spanish musical influences while remaining accessible to developing ensembles, El Toro Bravo offers a unique and engaging addition to any concert or festival program.
