Description
Bold Journey opens with an aural snapshot of the early, pristine land of North America- the land of the Louisiana Purchase before the bold and historic exploration that began in 1803 with Lewis and Clark. Immediately following the impressionistic opening of the piece, a robust main theme is stated, signaling the beginning of the journey. This energetic theme and the opening section's more tranquil melodic material are juxtaposed, varied, and combined carrying the piece and the adventurous journey to its ultimate and exciting conclusion.
