Description
The title Notebooks for Anna Magdalena Bach refers to two manuscript collections of works for the keyboard both composed and compiled by the famous German master for the young woman who became his second wife. Certain of the works from Book One he later arranged into the First French Suite for Harpsichord, from which these two minuets originate. Following the harmonic clues left by Bach, every effort has been made to adhere to the musical intentions of the master composer to provide the opportunity for these lovely melodies to become familiar to young string performers.
