Description
Grab your beret and take a walk along the Seine River or perhaps enjoy an espresso at a Parisian café! In this delightful level 2.5 piece in G Major, the string bass section shines as the jazzy chords in the orchestra accompaniment conjure images of a sunny day in Paris. The harmonies in this piece introduce young orchestra students to chords typically found in French café jazz music, in particular the "flat VI chord." While this piece highlights the bass section, it gives all sections plenty to do including trills, grace notes, and some optional third position work in the violins and violas.
