Description
The 19th century American lyricist of Away in a Manger remains anonymous even though two different composers set it to music following the American Civil War. The two melodies are woven together in contemporary harmony in this colorful tapestry. A solo violin (or flute or oboe) part unifies them, with an added original tune as all three move throughout the orchestra.
